A candlelit supper at 19 St George's Square

An evening of cheese and wine in the dining room at 19 St George’s Square, Stamford glowed through the lens of photographer Ollie Tomlinson for a recent feature with Inigo. Inigo is more than a forward-looking estate agency for period property; it brings together gifted writers and photographers to create property-adjacent stories that sit comfortably alongside broadsheets, Sunday supplements and the best of social media. No surprise, given founders Matt Gibberd and Albert Hill once held editorial roles at The World of Interiors and Wallpaper, respectively.

We were delighted to be included, having followed Inigo and The Modern House for years. A cheese-and-wine supper felt entirely fitting, not least because Matthew and I first met over a Neal’s Yard Dairy cheeseboard – I later wrote a poem about this meeting called Monsieur Fromage. Thanks are also due to Richard Brendon for the sublime hand-blown wine glasses, Abingdon Fine Wine for always selecting the best wine for any occasion and Rennet and Rind for always delivering the cheesy goods. And the finest olives too.
